Azerbaijani presidential rep talks on restoration work in Karabakh economic region

Currently, 10 road projects with a total length of 513 km are being implemented on the territory of the Karabakh economic region, Emin Huseynov, Azerbaijani president’s special representative in the territories liberated from occupation, included in the Karabakh economic region (with the exception of the Shusha region), said at a scientific and practical conference in Shamakhi on the topic “Investment attractiveness of the liberated territories,” Report informs.

He noted that two railway projects with a length of 157.5 km are also being implemented in the region - Barda-Aghdam and Horadiz-Aghband: “Also, airports were built in Zangilan and Fuzuli. It is truly a miracle that heavily contaminated territories were cleared in 8 months and airports that meet international standards were built.”

Huseynov noted that two hydropower plants have been fully restored and are functioning in Sugovushan: “7 substations with a capacity of 35 and 110 kW have been built in the Karabakh economic region.”
