In January-November 2020, the Azerbaijani section of the Europe-Caucasus-Asia transport corridor transported 35,549,700 tons of cargo, and the cargo turnover made 8,456,600,000 ton-km (a drop of 12,046,900 tons or 25.3% from 2019).
Report informs referring to the State Statistics Committee that the freight turnover fell by 1,723,900,000 ton-km or 16.9% over the past year.
During the reporting period, 19,318,300 tons (54.3%) were transported by road, 11,665,000 tons (32.8%) by railway, and 4,566,400 tons (32.9%) by the sea.
Transit cargo accounted for 21.2% or 7,535,000 tons, a growth of 253,700 tons (3.5%) from a year earlier.
