Emin Huseynov: Certain corridors should be opened in severely polluted areas of Karabakh

Work on the 5 phases within the First State Program on the Great Return is being carried out in parallel, Emin Huseynov, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the liberated territories of the Karabakh Economic Region (except Shusha district), said, Report informs.

“One of them is the design of general and master plans, the second is demining activities, the third is the creation of basic infrastructure, another one is the full-scale reconstruction of social-social-economic infrastructure, and finally the provision of a great return. As you can see, planning should come first,” Huseynov said.

According to him, it is important to plan not only construction works but also demining: “Then, in severely contaminated areas, certain corridors should be opened so that the restoration process can take place.

After these corridors are opened, basic infrastructures such as roads, gas, electricity, water, and communication should be provided. Later, social infrastructures such as schools, hospitals, administrative buildings, and residential houses should be ready. And finally, the great return should take place.”
