Currently, about 80,000 containers are transported along the Middle Corridor (Trans-Caspian International Transport Route), but in the future, there are opportunities to increase this figure to 111,000 containers per year, Secretary General of Trans-Caspian International Transport Route Gaidar Abdikerimov said at the regional event on the Middle Corridor held in Georgia, Report informs.
The secretary general emphasized that the digitization of the Middle Corridor is an important aspect contributing to the further development and expansion of this route: "Considering this factor, special attention is paid to the issue of digitization. The Middle Corridor can be considered a living organism that is constantly growing and developing. It continues to remain in the development dynamics, which indicates the success of the international transport route."
