One of the panel discussions of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos will be devoted to the prospects for the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (Middle Corridor).
Report informs citing the press service of the organization that on January 19, the participants of the event will discuss how the countries of the South Caucasus and Central Asia will adapt to the consequences of the war in Ukraine, expanding transport cooperation, investing in energy infrastructure and how Europe and Asia can establish an effective partnership in the new geopolitical reality.
This year, the WEF will begin its work on January 16. The main topic of the Davos Forum will be "Cooperation in a Fragmented World."
According to the organizers, the forum will take place "against the most difficult economic and geopolitical background in recent decades."
The forum is expected to be attended by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, President of the European Commission Ursula von Der Leyen, as well as the presidents of Germany, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Costa Rica and other high-ranking officials.
The forum will end on January 20.
