Support block of Azeri-Central-Eastern platform loaded onto STB-1 barge of ASCO

The support block of the Azeri-Central-Eastern (ACE) platform, built at the Heydar Aliyev Baku Deep Water Jacket Factory (BDWJF), was loaded onto the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company CJSC (ASCO) STB-1 barge to be sent to the sea, Report informs, citing ASCO.

The weight of the support block of the platform is 16,000 tons, and its height is 153 meters. This facility includes three production standpipes designed for irrigation, oil export, and gas export.

Last year, ASCO's barge STB-1 underwent necessary modifications for operation in the Azeri-Central-Eastern project. The barge's certification has been updated to the required grade.

STB-1, considered the largest barge of the Caspian Sea, is 163 meters long, 45 meters wide, and has a carrying capacity of 18,000 tons.
