Feasibility studies are being prepared to construct a reservoir in Shusha with a total capacity of 7 million cubic meters, Jeyhun Mammadov, Deputy Head of the Planning and Design Department of Azersu OJSC, said, Report informs.
According to him, the reservoir is being created for the sustainable water supply of Shusha. It is planned to deliver water via a water pipeline: “Taking into account the ongoing construction works in Shusha, it is planned to build a temporary dam and a new pumping station, and deliver the water to the city via the main water pipeline to meet the water needs that will arise in the summer months.”
Mammadov said that after the liberation of Shusha, the activities of Kichik Kirs and Zarisli sources, which supply water to the city, were restored in a short time, repair work was carried out on main pipelines and reservoirs.
