The French authorities have issued an orange alert, the second-highest level of environmental threat, due to incessant rains and the looming danger of floods in two departments in southern France.
Report informs via TASS that Meteo France, the national weather service, reported that the orange alert will remain in effect in the Var and Gard departments on Friday and Saturday.
Meteorologists have cautioned that these regions could experience up to 200 mm of rainfall.
