Camilla Vaaden: Seeing ANAMA's work helps one understand degree of mine danger in Karabakh

Observing the mine clearance process helped us realize how dangerous mine contamination is for the lives of civilians returning to the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, a traveler from Norway, Camilla Vaaden, told Report.

“It’s good that ANAMA double, triple checks the territory that they clear from mines, because people’s lives depend on it. And I hope that Azerbaijan will be assisted in the mine clearance process,” she noted.

Vaaden also noted that she really enjoyed her trip to Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur. “These places have great tourism potential,” she said.

Earlier, international travelers from Norway observed ANAMA sappers clearing mines laid by the Armenian armed forces in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan.
