Defense Minister: Patriotic War will be glorious chronicle of heroism of Azerbaijanis

Our eternal respect for the memory of the heroic martyrs who died in the just war will always continue, and they will live forever in the memories, Azerbaijani Defense Minister Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov said.

"The Patriotic War will continue to be the most fabulous patriotic history and glorious heroic chronicle of our people for centuries. Based on the wise military strategy of our Supreme Commander-in-Chief, the Azerbaijani Army bravely and courageously fulfilled its honorable duty to the Motherland and the people by ending more than 30 years of military aggression," Hasanov noted.

"The fighting spirit, determination, courage, and fearlessness, tactics of modern general warfare, as well as the new generation of weapons, military equipment, and other weapons used by the personnel of the Azerbaijani Army in the Patriotic War further enhance the value of our glorious Victory. I want to emphasize that the Glorious Victory in the Patriotic War under the leadership of Mr. Ilham Aliyev is not only one of the most glorious pages in the history of Azerbaijan but also has left a deep mark on the world military chronology. This military achievement has become a decisive factor in ensuring peace and security in the South Caucasus, the growth of the region, as well as the formation of a new and more effective military, political, economic, and trade configuration, the creation and development of a healthy environment of cooperation between countries and peoples," the colonel general said.
