The trilateral ceasefire agreement signed between Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Russia is the clear manifestation that Armenia illegally occupied the districts and through its atrocities plundered Azerbaijan’s resources, Khalid Taimur Akram, executive director of the Pakistani Center for Global & Strategic Studies, said in an interview with Report.
“Even after the trilateral agreement, Armenia is still indulged in sponsoring hostile and extremist operations, for example: landmines blasts, contamination of Azerbaijan’s rivers and many other hostile activities. These all tactics have unveiled true face of Armenia’s weak leadership. International community must join hands and take strict actions against Armenian hostilities. Azerbaijan’s allies must force Armenia to stick to the ceasefire agreement and refrain from hampering regional stability and peace,” he said.
He noted that the people of Azerbaijan have suffered a lot from Armenian atrocities, yet they did not fall. They rose as a resilient, united and powerful nation in the South Caucasus that defeated Armenia. Their victory has marked a history that has changed the socio-economic and political dynamics of the region, he said. Azerbaijan’s sacrifices will always be remembered by the world, he added.
“Azerbaijan’s victory towards its rightful cause has been praised and acknowledged by the world,” he concluded.
