Expert: “Russia must properly react to Armenia’s provocations”

"The provocations on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border are aimed at destabilizing the region," Aleksandr Perenchiyev, a professor and expert at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, told Report's Russian bureau.

"Armenia is trying to put Russian peacekeepers face to face with the Azerbaijani military. This provocation is clearly directed against the Russian peacekeepers," the expert said.

According to him, Armenia regularly commits provocations: “I think this issue should be thoroughly investigated. Measures must be taken to prevent provocations."

The Russian expert said that the Kremlin should also react to the current situation on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border and take preventive measures to prevent such incidents from happening again.

“I am sure that similar cases will not halt the peaceful stabilization and the resolution of the situation in Karabakh,” he added.
