Fire breaks out in mined area in Khojavand, two helicopters involved

The 112 hotline of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) has received information about a fire in an open area and partly forested area in a mountainous territory with a complex relief near the village of Edilli, Khojavand region. Based on the information, the relevant forces of the Ministry were immediately involved in the fire.

Considering security measures, fire protection units of the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry prevented the fire from spreading directly to the village of Edilli, as well as communication lines were protected from fire.

The fire was extinguished with the help of two helicopters of the Aviation Detachment of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and stopped it from entering the dense forest area.
