Hikmat Javadov: Peacekeepers patronize plunder of Azerbaijan's natural wealth

Russian peacekeepers patronize the plunder of Azerbaijan's natural resources, Chairman of the United Diaspora of Azerbaijanis of Ukraine Hikmat Javadov said at a press conference in Kyiv on the plunder of Azerbaijan's natural resources in the zone of temporary deployment of the Russian peacekeeping contingent.

"Azerbaijan is a strategic partner of Ukraine. The destinies of the peoples are very similar," he said.

He stressed that Azerbaijan has been providing humanitarian assistance to Ukraine since the beginning of the war in February: "The Azerbaijani people understand and support Ukraine. Azerbaijanis were queueing outside the Ukrainian embassy in Baku to help the Ukrainian people in any way they can."

"The soul hurts for what is happening, but everyone believes in Ukraine's victory in this war," he added.

According to Javadov, today the peacekeepers are doing everything to prevent Baku and Yerevan from normalizing their relations, because in this case Moscow will retain its levers of pressure in the region.

He then read out the organization's statement, which notes that Armenia uses disinformation in its manipulations, and not many people in Ukraine know the truth about the conflict.
"Armenia has not been held accountable for the crimes it committed during the occupation, neither had it been subjected to sanctions," the diaspora chairman said.

He asked the friendly Ukrainian people for understanding and dissemination of truthful information. He also addressed the Ukrainian media, saying that some of the news they publish 'promotes separatism.'

"It's strange that this is happening in a country that suffers from separatism itself," he said, urging the Ukrainian media to be more careful when posting news.
