President: Restoration of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity will ensure historical justice

"The operation to retake our occupied lands is going according to plan. All the tasks ahead of us have been fulfilled so far. The Azerbaijani Army is successfully advancing and liberated many settlements, a city, and several villages from occupation. Fierce fighting is taking place in various directions," President Ilham Aliyev said in an interview with TRT Haber.

The head of state stated: "As you know, our forces liberated the city of Jabrayil and several villages in the Jabrayil region yesterday. I hope that the Azerbaijani Army will continue to achieve its mission successfully, and the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan will be restored. It is our primary goal. This aim will ensure historical justice. At the same time, it should be taken as a sign of respect for international law because Nagorno-Karabakh and other occupied lands are the historical lands of Azerbaijan. For international law, these lands belong to the Azerbaijani state."
