The representatives and freelancers of the youth organizations in Azerbaijan have visited the Juma mosque as part of their visit to Aghdam.
Report's Karabakh bureau informs that Mirza Javadov, a representative of the State Agency for Protection, Development, and Restoration of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture for the Aghdam region, informed the guests about the historical monument.
He noted that the Juma mosque was constructed by Karbalai Safikhan Garabagi in 1868-1870.
"During the years of occupation, it was used as a cowshed. They didn't destroy the mosque completely because its minarets could be used to oversee the surrounding. Aghdam's Juma mosque, which Armenians destroyed during the occupation, will soon be restored," he said.
