Russian expert: Azerbaijan should demand compensation from Armenia for destruction

It is important to appeal to all international institutions to demand compensation from Armenia for the damage caused by the occupation of Azerbaijani lands to show the whole world how dangerous the unjust seizure of territories is, Daria Grevtsova, Russian political expert and deputy director of the Institute for Political Studies, told the Russian bureau of Report.

The political expert noted that there are chances for Armenia to pay compensation.

"Perhaps, this will not happen in the near future. We all know that these territories belong to Azerbaijan by all principles and by the decision of the UN, and we see what destruction has occurred in these territories for over 30 years, therefore compensation for damages is perfectly justified."

According to Grevtsova, Azerbaijan should receive the support of the international community in this matter.

"We see that many cultural monuments have been destroyed, so UNESCO should express its opinion on this matter."
