General: Azerbaijan put into operation mine-clearing machines purchased from Turkey

"On the instructions of Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, mechanical mine-clearing equipment purchased from Turkey was brought to Azerbaijan. In this regard, a training program has been organized in the engineering fortifications," Chief of the Engineering Troops Department of the Azerbaijani Army, Major General Anar Karimov has said.

Report informs, quoting Karimov, that Azerbaijan had purchased 20 mechanical mine-clearing equipment from Turkey: "The kit is presented by the manufacturer as soon as it is ready."

Karimov noted that the use of mechanical mine-clearing equipment purchased from Turkey had started today: "The equipment was approved under the relevant order of the Defense Minister. It will be used in the liberated areas soon."
