More than 4,000 Azerbaijanis are still considered missing after the First Karabakh War, and Armenia must provide information about them, Report informs, citing Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Department of Foreign Policy Affairs of the Presidential Administration.
Hajiyev was answering questions from the center and the audience during an event attended by John Herbst, Director of the Eurasian Center under the Atlantic Council and former US Ambassador to Ukraine.
The presidential aide brought to the attention of those present that the Armenians living in the Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan are the country's citizens, and they have to accept Azerbaijan's rule of law and its Constitution.
Answering the question about the role of the OSCE Minsk Group in the post-war period, Hajiyev noted that the Minsk Group might help define confidence-building measures between the two sides.
In conclusion, he added that the US companies could contribute to the revival of the liberated Azerbaijani territories and regional integration by investing and participating in the restoration of Karabakh's infrastructure.
