Assistant to President, head of State Border Service visit border with Armenia

Maharram Aliyev, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan - Head of the Military Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and colonel general Elchin Guliyev, head of the State Border Service, have visited military units and subdivisions of separate Gubadli and Gazakh border divisions of the border troops, Report informs, citing the press center of the State Border Service.

It was noted that as part of the trip, the officials checked the fulfillment of the instructions of the President of Azerbaijan, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev on creating the necessary infrastructure for border defense and security on the state border with Armenia after the restoration of the country's territorial integrity.

They emphasized the importance of launching 19 new military units and more than 100 border points in the liberated territories over the past year.

During the trip, Aliyev and Guliyev observed the exercises in the field training center of the State Border Service.
