AZIREX-2024 joint tactical exercise held

AZIREX-2024 joint tactical exercise involving a group of personnel and ships of the Naval Forces of the Azerbaijan Army and the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran was held in Iranian sector of the Caspian Sea, Report informs, citing the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry.

First, a briefing was presented on the purpose of the Marine Search and Rescue exercise, and the tasks ahead, discussions were held.

The exercise was conducted to enhance military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Iran. It included activities focused on implementing rescue and medical assistance measures in the event of maritime accidents, conducting search and rescue operations, and ensuring the safety of vessels.

The sailors completed the tasks assigned at various stages of the exercise with a high level of professionalism.
