Chief of General Staff of Azerbaijan Army visits military units in Kalbajar district 

On the instruction of the Minister of Defense, First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan – Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev visited the military units deployed in the Kalbajar district, Report informs, citing the ministry.

The Chief of General Staff got acquainted with the conditions created for the unit's staff and service members and inspected the newly opened canteen.
Valiyev inquired about the social and living conditions of service members serving at an altitude of 3,400 meters on the state border with Armenia and gave additional instructions on the organization and conduct of combat duty, following the activities of the opposite side from the command-observation post.

Having lunch with the servicemen, the Chief of General Staff inquired about their cares and congratulated them on the upcoming Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis and the New Year on behalf of the leadership of the Ministry of Defense.

At the end, valuable gifts were presented to the distinguished servicemen on behalf of the Minister of Defense.
