Delegation of Ministry of Defense Industry of Azerbaijan visits UAE

The delegation led by the Minister of Defense Industry of Azerbaijan, Vugar Mustafayev, is on a visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to participate in the Unmanned Systems Exhibition and Conference (UMEX-2024), which kicked off on January 23 in Abu Dhabi, Report informs, citing the ministry.

The exhibition is being held under the patronage of the President of the UAE, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, with the support of the Ministry of Defense and the organization of ADNEC Group.

Within the framework of the visit, Minister Mustafayev visited Halcon, Al Tariq, Lahab, Nimr, and Caracal enterprises included in the Tawazun Industrial Park, which forms the basis of the military-industrial complex of the UAE, and got acquainted with the production possibilities. He also discussed future cooperation and the organization of mutual visits.

In addition, Mustafayev met with Mohammed bin Mubarak Fadel Al Mazrouei, Cabinet Member and Minister of State for Defense Affairs, and Faisal Al Bannai, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the "EDGE" company. He emphasized that cooperation with the UAE is one of the priority areas of Azerbaijan's defense industry and invited the meeting participants to the 5th International Defense Exhibition, ADEX-2024, to be held in Baku.

During the meetings, views were exchanged on the development of existing cooperation and other issues of interest.

The exhibition will continue until January 25.
