During the post-war period, 106,938.1 hectares of land were cleared of mines and explosives by ANAMA and other agencies, ANAMA Board Chairman Vugar Suleymanov said at the public hearing held on November 4 in the Milli Majlis themed “Tackling the Threat of Landmines: The Impact of Explosives on the Ecosystem."
According to him, 106,938.1 hectares of area have been cleared of 30,539 anti-personnel mines, 18,303 anti-tank mines, and 56,646 unexploded ordnance.
