The law 'On protection of public health' is being amended, the chairman of the Parliamentary Health Committee, Academician Ahliman Amiraslanov told Report.
According to him, the draft amendment to the document is related to the approval of tariffs for medical services not covered by compulsory health insurance and provided to the population on a paid basis by public healthcare establishments.
"Some medical services are included in the package of services covered by compulsory health insurance. However, some people have not been covered by this. These persons have the right to be treated in public or private medical institutions at their own expense. The purpose of the change is to determine the tariffs for these services. The Compulsory Health Insurance System will assess the tariffs after the adoption of the draft amendments to the law in Parliament," Amiraslanov said.
