Azerbaijani MPs to observe parliamentary elections in Uzbekistan

A group of Azerbaijani deputies will travel to Tashkent to observe the parliamentary elections to be held in Uzbekistan on October 27, Report informs, citing Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis.

Chairman of the Health Committee of the Milli Majlis Ahliman Amiraslanov, deputy Aghalar Valiyev through TURKPA, deputy Sabina Salmanova through CIS PA, deputies Gaya Mammadov and Azay Guliyev through OSCE PA will inquire about the level of preparation for the elections to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis (Supreme Assembly) of Uzbekistan. They will closely familiarize themselves with the conditions created at several polling stations, observe the activity of citizens on voting day, and monitor the vote-counting process.

The deputies' visit will conclude on October 29.
