Over the past five years, the salary fund in Azerbaijan has more than tripled, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population Anar Aliyev said at today's meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Labor and Social Policy, Report informs.
The deputy minister stated that he couldn't imagine a better indicator of social welfare:
"During the same period, the minimum salary in the country increased by 2.7 times, and the average monthly wage increased by 82 percent."
Aliyev emphasized that reforms related to social payments are consistent:
"The next social package prepared under the president's instruction also envisions reforms in this direction. Financial provision for this has also been determined in next year's state budget."
