Parliament Speaker: Azerbaijan's strategic currency reserves reach $53B

At the moment, Azerbaijan has strategic monetary reserves of $53 billion, the Speaker of Milli Majlis (Parliament) of Azerbaijan Sahiba Gafarova said at today's plenary session of the parliament.

"The country has been taking consistent steps to diversify its economy and ensure its integration with the world economy. International organizations commend our achievements. Reconstruction works are currently underway in Karabakh and East Zangazur. We are doing it from our country's funds. This year our country will do important work, and we are confident that it will be fulfilled successfully. The proposals made during last year's government report were studied thoroughly," Gafarova said.
