Speaker of Azerbaijani Parliament congratulates Turkish counterpart on Republic Day

Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis, has sent a congratulatory letter to Numan Kurtulmus, Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (GNAT), on the occasion of the national holiday of Türkiye – the Republic Day, Report informs.

On behalf of the Azerbaijani MPs, Speaker Sahiba Gafarova extended sincere congratulations and best wishes to the Turkish Grand National Assembly and the brotherly people of Türkiye.

“Azerbaijan-Türkiye relations, based on the will of the two countries’ peoples, which are bound together by shared history, as well as national and moral values, are at their highest peak. The Speaker emphasized that these relations are developing and strengthening across all domains in accordance with “One nation, two states” principle.

Sahiba Gafarova also praised the unity and solidarity in interparliamentary relations between the two countries.

The Speaker expressed her confidence that the two countries would continue to make joint efforts to enhance bilateral and multilateral relations, as well as active and fruitful cooperation between the Milli Majlis and the Grand National Assembly.
