Interior Ministry warns those receiving fake COVID passports

Those who receive fake COVID-19 passports will not be able to evade the investigation - sooner or later, they’ll face it, Head of the Media and Public Relations Department of the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry Major Elshad Hajiyev said, Report informs.

“We want to inform you that having a fake COVID-19 passport is a criminal offense under the Azerbaijani laws. Some are not vaccinated but get a fake COVID-19 passport, eventually getting infected themselves and infecting others.

"I want to note that measures are taken against each of the perpetrators under the requirements of the Criminal Procedure Code. If a person using a forged COVID-19 passport infects others with the coronavirus and causes death, he may be prosecuted under Article 139-1 of the Criminal Code. To prevent all this from happening, people should refrain from obtaining fake coronavirus passports, follow all the rules, and protect themselves and others,” Elshad Hajiyev said.
