An Aer Lingus aircraft carrying Irish Prime Minister Micheal Martin on board made an emergency U-turn after hitting a bird.
Report informs citing the BBC that the flight to New York left Dublin Airport at around 17:00 local time on Wednesday and returned to Dublin at about 18:30.
A spokesman for Aer Lingus said that a bird strike occurred shortly after takeoff. The flight was rescheduled to a later date.
Mr. Martin is due to address the United Nations General Assembly in New York on Thursday.
