Argentina has lifted the requirement to maintain a social distance of two meters, introduced due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Report informs citing TASS that this decision of the Ministry of Health was published in the Official Bulletin of the Argentine Republic.
“Abolish [the norm on] social distance of two meters,” the document says. The agency, however, recommends that masks continue to be worn indoors.
The ministry clarified that the mitigation became possible due to the fact that 80% of the country's residents are fully vaccinated against coronavirus, and "there has been a decline in the number of cases" of infection for the last nine weeks in a row.
