COVID-19 vaccine tests developed by the University of Queensland and Australia's CSL Limited have been halted after the results of abnormal immunodeficiency virus tests in several volunteers, Report informs, citing the statement of the drug manufacturers.
"The CSL and the Australian government have agreed not to conduct the second and third trials of the vaccine. The first phase will continue," the statement said.
At the same time, the manufacturers emphasize that the drug can not cause HIV infection. According to the standard control experiments, the test participants did not have the human immunodeficiency virus.
