Canada police to protect local politicians after assassination attempt on Trump

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police will take all necessary measures to protect local politicians in connection with the assassination attempt on former US President Donald Trump at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania, Minister of Public Security of Canada Dominic Leblanc said, Report informs referring to TASS.

"I am very confident that the national police will take all necessary steps to protect Canadian politicians," Leblanc noted.

The minister added that the Canadian Security Intelligence Service and the agency staff have been increasingly vigilant and are in contact with their US counterparts following the incident.
