A complex atmosphere established for people's lives in Myanmar, with the death toll from clashes reaching 962 people since early February, special envoy of the UN Secretary-General on Myanmar Christine Schraner Burgener said at a briefing held through video-communication.
She said 962 people have died. According to their estimates, 7,084 people have been arrested.
According to the UN representative, clashes between the military and opponents of new powers continue.
On February 1, Myanmar's military command declared a year of emergency and ousting the civil leadership of the country, motivating it by massive fraud, which, they say, occurred during the parliamentary elections held in November 2020.
