The European Union is set to invest €1 billion in the development of Ukraine's military production, drawing from the second tranche of €1.5 billion in expropriated revenues from frozen Russian assets, Report informs via TASS.
According to Didier Reynders, the European Commissioner for Justice, who spoke at a session of the European Parliament in Strasbourg, the EU has already provided substantial support to Ukraine, amounting to approximately €124 billion. This includes €45.5 billion in military assistance, with over €6 billion channeled through the European Peace Facility. However, Hungary is currently blocking an additional €7 billion in military support.
