Negotiations in Vienna on the restoration of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on the Iranian nuclear program will resume on February 8, said Peter Stano, lead spokesperson for foreign affairs and security policy for the European Union, Report informs.
He said that the negotiators, after consultations held in their capitals, will continue to discuss a possible return of the US to the ‘Iranian deal,’ as well as ways to ensure ‘full and effective implementation of the agreement by all parties.’
In 2015, the UK, Germany, China, Russia, the US, France and Iran signed a nuclear deal - the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), which involved the lifting of sanctions in exchange for limiting Iran’s nuclear program.
