It snows in Egypt and Libya

Today, snow fell in the eastern Libyan city of Sidi Al-Hamri for the first time in 15 years, Report informs, citing RIA Novosti.

The Libyan National Meteorological Center has shared a video showing a snowy landscape in the eastern region of Jabal Akhdar.

The temperature in the region dropped to zero at night.

It also snowed in the neighboring Egyptian city of Sidi Barrani, near the western border, as well as in St. Catherine city, located in the highlands of the Sinai Peninsula, in Alexandria, where it has been raining for days. The temperature in the region dropped to minus 2 degrees.

Earlier this week, the weather was forecast to cool, with snow in Cairo and a storm of up to 75 km / h.
