Italy will host next year's Group of Seven summit in June, authorities announced Friday, Report informs, citing foreign media.
Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said in a social media video that the summit would be held on June 13-15 at the Borgo Enazia hotel in the southern region of Puglia.
Italy takes over the presidency of the industrialized nations group -- made up of the United States, Japan, Germany, Canada, Italy, France, and Britain - on January 1.
Italy plans to focus its Presidency on Ukraine, unity among the G7, respect for the rules of international law, economic security, energy security, migration, and cooperation with Africa.
