Strict quarantine regime in Kyiv has been extended for another two weeks due to the dire situation with the pandemic, city mayor Vitali Klitschko said at an online briefing, Report informs referring to TASS.
"Since the epidemic situation is not improving significantly, this morning the city's Emergency Situations Commission decided to extend the strict restrictive measures in our city for two weeks, that is, until April 30," he said.
Over the past day, 1,457 new cases of infection have been detected in Kyiv, 47 people have died from the consequences of infection. Kyiv is the leader in terms of the number of cases among all regions of Ukraine.
Klitschko added that almost 71 percent of beds in specialized municipal medical institutions of the city are held by COVID patients, and most of them are in serious condition.
