The situation on the border between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan has deteriorated again, according to the press center of the Kyrgyz State Border Service, Report informs referring to RIA Novosti.
“The Tajik side, violating all the previously reached agreements of the intergovernmental delegations of the parties on the delimitation and demarcation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik border, on June 4, 2021, at about 03:00 a.m., began to install a container on an undelimitated section of the border in the Unzhu-Bulak area of the Chon-Alai district of the Osh region while entering the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic up to 1,000 meters deep,” said the report.
“The situation on the border remains tense. The Tajik side left the container on an undelimitated section of the state border in this area and moved 600 meters away from it. In addition, there is a congestion of servicemen from the Tajik side in cars and lightly armored vehicles,” the Kyrgyz State Border Service noted.
Bishkek also accused Dushanbe of violating earlier agreements on de-escalation.
