Kyrgyzstan starts mass vaccination against COVID

Kyrgyzstan starts mass vaccination of the population against coronavirus on March 29, Report informs citing Alymkadyr Beishenaliev, the Health and Social Development Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic.

According to the minister, residents of the republic will be vaccinated with China’s Sinopharm COVID jab, 150,000 doses of which have already been delivered to the Central Asian country.

Beishenaliev also said that he would be the first to be vaccinated.

Vaccination in Kyrgyzstan will be carried out free of charge and on a voluntary basis, first in Bishkek, Chui, and Osh regions. It is planned that medical workers, teachers, employees of law enforcement agencies will receive the jab first.
