The US doesn't fully understand the consequences that will occur in the event of a nuclear war, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a press conference with Yemeni Foreign Minister Shaya Mohsen al-Zindani, the Russian bureau of Report informs.
"Americans clearly associate talk about a third world war as something that, God forbid, if it is realized, can affect only Europe. This, in general, is an indicative moment reflecting the mentality of American planners, geostrategists who are convinced that they will sit it out," Lavrov noted, adding that in this situation it is very important to understand that the Russian Federation has its own doctrine, including the doctrine of the use of nuclear weapons, which, by the way, is currently being clarified, and which American officials are very well aware of.
The minister noted that if the West is interested in resolving the conflict with Ukraine, then it is necessary to sit down at the negotiating table.
