The Association of Banks in Lebanon (ABL) has announced that all bank offices will be closed for three days in protest against disgruntled depositors’ attempts to seize them, Report informs referring to TASS.
The ABL statement, circulated on Twitter, indicates that in less than a day, there were nine attacks on banking institutions in Beirut and other cities of the country.
People breaking into banks demanded the issuance of deposits frozen two and a half years ago due to the financial collapse.
