Moldova preparing for opening of Second European Political Community Summit

On June 1, Moldova is preparing to host the largest international event in its history - the Second European Political Community Summit, Report informs.

The summit will be attended by 47 heads of state and government.

The summit will be the largest political event ever held in Moldova and will mark an important step in the country’s progress towards EU accession after receiving candidate status in June 2022.

“The Second European Political Community Summit is a testament to the growing unity on the continent. As Europe comes together about 20 km from the Ukrainian border, this event is a strong confirmation of our unwavering commitment to peace, strong condemnation of the Russian invasion, continued solidarity with Ukraine and a show of support for Moldova,” stressed President of Moldova Maia Sandu.
