The Dutch parliament supported the proposal of the interim government to introduce a curfew in the country, Report informs referring to TASS.
The measure will come into force on January 23. The curfew will operate from 21:00 to 04:30 local time (GMT +1). During the curfew, the movement will be allowed only in exceptional cases. So, citizens going to work will need to have a special permit signed by their employer. Dog walking will be allowed, but only for one family member. At night, emergency services and home delivery services for groceries and ready meals will be allowed to continue their work.
It is the first time the Netherlands has imposed a curfew since World War II. Violation of the rule will be punished with a fine of 95 euros.
