Peskov: Drills by Russian nuclear forces provoked by Macron, Cameron

The exercises of non-strategic nuclear forces, which the Russian Ministry of Defense announced on May 6, are associated with an “unprecedented round of tension” on the part of Western politicians, Russian Presidential Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said, Report informs via Russian media.

He confirmed that recent statements by French President Emmanuel Macron and British Foreign Secretary David Cameron provoked these exercises.

“This is an unprecedented round of tension that requires special attention and special measures,” Peskov added.
