Sudan’s Prime Minister Abdullah Hamdok dissolved his cabinet on Sunday.
Ministers would “remain in their positions to conduct business in their ministries until the formation of the new government and the handover is completed,” a statement on Sudan’s state news agency said.
A cabinet reshuffle was expected to be announced on Monday.
Last week, Sudan said three armed rebel groups would be handed posts in the interim government as part of a peace deal signed in the previous year.
Sudan is transitioning to democratic rule after a mass uprising forced the military to remove longtime dictator Omar Al-Bashir in 2019.
