Sunak to Zelenskyy: UK eyes sending Challenger 2 tanks to Ukraine

The UK intends to supply Ukraine with Challenger 2 tanks, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak told President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Report informs referring to foreign media.

The office of the British prime minister also reported that Kyiv will receive additional artillery systems.

Meanwhile, Zelenskyy on social networks wrote about a telephone conversation with Sunak.

“Always strong support of the UK is now impenetrable and ready for challenges. In a conversation with the Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, I thanked for the decisions that will not only strengthen us on the battlefield, but also send the right signal to other partners,” Zelenskyy wrote.

British media reported that Sunak ordered the immediate dispatch of the first batch of tanks to Ukraine.
