Switzerland closes airspace to flights from Russia

From February 28, Switzerland closes its airspace for all flights from Russia and for any planes with Russian markings, with the exception of flights for humanitarian, medical, and diplomatic needs, Report informs, citing a statement of the Federal Council, published on the agency's website on Monday.

"In addition, in line with airspace closures in other European countries, the Swiss airspace will be closed to all flights from Russia, as well as all movements of Russian-marked planes from Monday, except for humanitarian, medical and diplomatic flights," the statement elaborates.
